Just a quick blog message to share the extremely exciting news! 

 

We are only 24hrs away from launch!  YAY! 

 

I have been working on this concept for the last 3 years and for me this has been an journey full of hills and valleys (great for the weight-loss!)  With Sandi coming on board at the beginning of the year I am ecstatic to announce that it is nearly ready and we have finally done it!  The vision that I had 3 years ago is about to become a reality. 

 For everyone that has stuck with me, and believed in me, that I could make this vision a reality, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Your belief and encouragement has kept me motivated and made the next 24 hrs possible.  Stay tuned.   The revolution is about to begin!

Leading up to our launch at the Women's Lifestyle Expo in Christchurch, New Zealand on Saturday week (4th October), Sandi and I put together a small presentation explaining exactly what SizeXchange is.  Watch below and let us know your thoughts.

As you will all probably know...marketing is one of the key elements to getting a business. With that in mind Sandi and I have been preoccupied lately with how we are presenting ourselves and explaining what our service is going to be in lay-mans terms.

It is a very exciting process but nerve wracking too. Foremost in our minds is... are we targeting this to our target market appropriately and reaching the people who would benefit from the service that we want to provide? I heard on the news a couple of days ago that 1 in 3 people in New Zealand are overweight and 1 in 4 people are obese...thats 2/3rds of the New Zealand population. These figures are similar the world over. Those are who we should be targeting, but the trick is where to market and advertise to get us there.

If you have suggestions as to key places: forums, websites, magazines etc that would benefit from what we are providing then please leave a comment and let us know. We would love your input.

Ok, since it seems that we have not been regularly in contact on this site regarding the development of sizeXchange, Sandi and I decided it would be great to keep a blog so that you will all see the progress as it happens. Here we can report the weekly goings on and developments and it will give you a great opportunity to discuss your thoughts and wants and help us to set the direction for sizeXchange also.

Sandi and I have been busy thinking up marketing strategies to complement the business direction and have decided on a new slogan and we wanted to know what you all thought. The slogan we have is:

Watch it!...Grab it!...Wear it!

The idea behind this is that with our unique reverse auction system people can save an item to 'favorites' ie watch it go DOWN in exchange points until they desire to 'Grab it' before someone else does! After the points and the shipping fee have changed hands there is nothing left for the grabber to do but wait until the item is in their mailbox and wear it!

So what do you think...is this slogan catchy and icon-able enough what comes into your head when you read/hear it. Please let us know your thoughts!
